Sayyidah Sakina was almost 80 when she passed away in Madina, the city of the messenger of Allah. She passed away on a Thursday in the year 117 A.H.

Lineage
She was Aminah, daughter of Al Husayn ibn Ali. She was born in the forth decade from the time of the prophets migration. Her mother was al-Rabab, from the Banu Kalb tribe. She was named after her grandmother Aminah bint Wahab, the mother of the Prophet, peace be upon Him.
